Wendy McDonald
Wendy McDonald lives in the Riverina, near the Murray River, in South Western NSW.
Wendy has a BA (Education) from Deakin University, and
has spent the last 20 years practising, exhibiting and teaching art in various forms.
In Jan 2007, Wendy was awarded a professional development scholarship to the Murrumbidgee School of Creative Arts at Charles Sturt University. Of late, she has been selected as a finalist in the 2008 Stanthorpe Art Prize, Stanthorpe Regional Art Gallery, the 2008 National Print and Drawing Awards, Swan Hill Regional Gallery and the 2009 Calleen Art Awards, Cowra Regional Art Gallery.
Recent exhibitions have included FOUR at the Swan Hill Regional Gallery, Restdown Vintage Exhibiton, and Canterbury Art. SW Arts employs Wendy as a visiting artist on a number of projects for rural communities. Work also includes artist visits to remote schools.
Wendy combines her artistic pursuits with the demands of motherhood and a working rural property. She is represented by KSart, Sydney.
